In 2013 the sixth Takara mold was introduced with Hi-Ho Marine as the RBL+, or Radiance Plus. The reason for this update was purported to be that the mold for its predecessor, RBL, was cracked and could no longer be used.
The RBL+ mold looks very similar to the RBL, but the thickness of the plastic was reduced, which is important to note for customizers who are carving the faceplates. The RBL+ continued to feature 3-piece construction. The head could be opened by removing the screws and the spring from the back of the head and pressing down on the back plate by the ears to release the tabs on the side.
